For 2004, a PT Dream Cruiser Series 3 "True Blue" model is available in limited production. Also, a 180-horsepower turbocharged engine will be available on the Limited and Touring Edition models. Additionally, a Chrome Accent Group is available for the Limited that includes various exterior accents (including a chrome fuel door), as well as metallic-finish pedals and shift knob.
- Distinctive styling inside and out, spacious cabin with multiconfigurable rear seats, smooth ride, spirited acceleration on turbo models, reasonable pricing.
- Acceleration can be sluggish with base engine, awkward seating position for shorter drivers, unimpressive fuel economy.

3 year owner - 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By William Narey - June 9 - 2:00 amIve owned the Pt Cruiser since Feb of 2001 and I drive it in the summer only and I love to drive it. I have not had any problems as of yet, but I only have 6000 miles on the car. So far so good.

By Clean Gene - June 2 - 2:00 amSo far I have found it to be a very practical,peppy vehicle. I have owned 2 Plymouth mini vans prior to this Cruiser The Turbo kicks in at a lower RPM than I expected. It is full of torque, and drives well with the Gertag five speed transmission.Assembly quality is excellent. Cargo opttions are unlimited.

Fun To Drive...But - 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By cpcllc - May 28 - 10:00 amThe only thing I have found wrong with the GT model is the front end gets out of alignment real easily. Ive asked the dealer and the alignment people what is wrong and they just say that "you must be hitting some railroad tracks or holes in the road" which, obviously, exist on almost ALL roads. I purchased a lifetime front end alignment package for $125.00 which should take care of the cost from now on. I still would recommend the GT model.

By topper - May 28 - 10:00 amThis car is beautiful add the woodgrain and its awesome!! i have the almond color(best combination with woodgrain pkg)its a blast to drive everyone waves at me gives me the thumbs up !!its loaded with all the toys!chrysler has come along way since the junks they produced in the 80s i was afraid to buy one again but consumer reports gave the pt and excellent review chrysler had to get their act together way too much competition out there!i give the car a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10

Cool Vanilla GT - 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Two major gripes that I have is one, the blind spots are insane on this vehical and two, the cup holders will only hold a standard size can or bottle. If you drink fountain drinks that have cups that are larger than average like a big gulp you are out of luck. Other than that the car runs and drives great in my opinion. One other thing, if you smoke dont forget to bring your own ash tray, because it is not equipped with one.
